The film drew me in immediately. The splendid lighting and art direction was a real wonder. However after this the movie was quite ambiguous and vague. I was never really sure about what was happening and through the entire course of the film it felt like I was missing something. Something the director wanted me to understand but wasn’t able to put it across well enough. This sense of something missing was so overwhelming that it made me go online and make sure I had understood the plot of them film. The cast line-up was outstanding with Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Christopher Plummer, Jude Law, Colin Farrell, Verne Troyer, Tom Waits and Andrew Garfield all playing their parts beautifully. With some very nice costumes and breath taking visuals, ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’ is a good watch. All I can say is, approach with caution
